mist

این اصطلاح به fog اطلاق می شود که چگالی کمتر و شفاف تر دارد و در نتیجه دیدی مبهم یا تار ایجاد می کند. اغلب با کیفیتی نرم و ملایم همراه است و می توان از آن برای آفریدن فضایی رمزآلود یا رویایی استفاده کرد.

✅️ tsunami – an extremely large wave in the sea
✅️ typhoon – a violent tropical storm with very strong winds
✅️ vapour – very small drops of water or other liquids in the air that make the air feel wet
✅️ vog – smog that contains dust and gas from volcanoes

۱۰۰۰ متر نباشد ولی عامل بوجود آوردن تیرگی هوا دزات ریز غبار با قطر کمتر از یک دهم میکرون باشد به آن Haze گویند و اگر ناشی از دود و ملکولهای شیمیایی واکنش کننده با نور باشد به آن مه دود Smog گویند، در مه غلیظ هم که ناشی از وجود ذرات شناور ریز آب یا بلور های یخ در هوا است میدان دید افقی زیر ۱۰۰۰ متر کاهش می یابد.
